Hey, I'm new to this community. I've had NDPH for about 15 months now. Very recently, I found an article in the New York Times about somebody who had NDPH (or at least something very much like it) for about 20 years now. Fans of a show called Mystery Science Theater 3000 should find this interesting, in the very least; the writer of said article is one Michael J. Nelson.

The link is here.

Thank you SO much for posting this! I just read the article, and I felt as if I could have been a contributing writer... My favorite part is the conversation between the writer and his muscles. We all can understand, of course, the concept of trying a GAZILLION medications or treatments that sometimes don't even have anything to do with headaches!!

Thanks so much again, wakka!

Yes - the article was absolutely fabulous. And it's so nice to see someone writing about NDPH in the popular press. I've just seen so many DOCTORS who just have no idea what's going on, so it's really important to get the word circulating in order for others to be more aware.

It's also nice that the article points out that someone can be successful and even well-known despite living in constant pain, particularly head pain (!). I think this is important for doctors and others who, for example, have belittled my condition because in their eyes, I am still functioning normally, working every day and such. But they don't see that it is a struggle to do 'normal' things and that it takes a lot of lifestyle adjustments in order to do so.
