Hi there, I'm new to the whole support group thing but desperate times call for desperate measures... I was diagnosed with narcolepsy 5 years ago and I have been on Provigil since. Medicating seems to help during the day, once I am up and going, but the problem is getting up. I sleep through alarms... all types of alarms. My work has been very supportive, but lately it seems like I am getting up later and later. I now have to set my alarm clock for almost 2 hour prior to when I actually have to get up... and that is barely working. I was wondering if there was anyone else that has a hard time waking or if anyone had any suggestions... PLEASE!!!

Thanks So Much!

Ok, that was a bit terse of me, sorry (I was in auto mode writing that...) To elaborate, I've noticed that my rythm can "slide" and I have been known to go to bed at 7pm, other times at 1am to time having to get up at 5:30 for work. It's almost a guessing game and only trial and error will get you in a good routine -- which is really the key; routine. The more consistant the routine (even on the weekends), the easier time you'll have in managing your sleep patterns.
