Hi Maya,

I can understand where you are coming from. In my case I had a thymoma which has turned out to be cancerous. I am glad I had the thymectomy. It has probably saved my life. If I didn't have the tumour may choices may have been different. Good luck. You ultimately make the decision that's right for you! Best wishes Gez

Everything went well! Surgery took a little over 4 hours. Surgery started a little after 9am on Friday and I was discharged by 6pm on Saturday. I was able to give myself morphine as needed Friday night/sat morning, but really didn't need it much. Went home taking just tylenol. The back and neck discomfort at this point is what sucks. I definitely feel breathing limitations, but not sure how much of it is due to just surgery or the combo of MG and surgery. I have 3 incisions less than an inch each on both the left and right side ribcage area below the armpit and they seem to be healing very nicely. It's pretty amazing what can be done through such small spaces!

That's great news! So glad it went well. Sounds like you are on the road to recovery! Keep up with the deep breathing. I found that really helped. Best wishes. Gez Smile

The not rushing it is tough for me. I was thinking about going back to work tomorrow (1 week after surgery), but then I go and walk around for 10 minutes and I can definitely tell that my breathing is labored.
