MDJunction to me

jenniferdiva"MDJunction has been just an amazing support for me. The people who are on mdj are so nice! Unlike the many other support sites that I have been on. I have made several friends on mdj who are so supportive and so educated about mental illness. Of course non of us are doctors, but we certainly offer each other hugs, opinions, and advice. I have learned a great deal from my friends on mdjunction. I am also encouraging other people who suffer from mental illness to come on to MDJ. It can be a life line." (jenniferdiva)

Been awhile since I posted, however, until recently I have been feeling absolutely super, almost like pre-MG. Thus I began to become more active and doing more and more. Imuran remains at 150 a day, down to Mestinon 1 a day, as more causes significant muscle twitching and nightime cramps. Also, 5 mg Pred every other day. Now I havebegun to notice chest pain, upper, sometimes radiating to the shoulders, bi laterally. Also, notice more muscle pain PM after activities. I've a hunch I'm doing to much now and thus the pains began once nice weather set in. Anyone else ever experience similar symptoms? At 75, I have a good idea of pain due to age and am wondering if just doing to much or if related to medication dosage. Appreciate any response. Many thanks.

Glad you have been able to be active again. For me, activity is more therapeutic than straight exercise and I I like getting things done.

Good to see your mestinon dosage that low too.

I got Lyme in my 40's so not sure what pains are age related and what are lingering symptoms. Overdoing things can cause me pain flares. But I hope your doctor knows about those specific symptoms.

It could just be the warm weather. The warm weather can cause inflamation and swelling which may be causing your pain.
