Can anyone tell me if some of the things I have going on are MS symptoms you might be going through? I feel like I am losing my mind!

Hi txhater.

MS often times can affect eyes. I have had one bout of ON (optic neuritis, which is the term for stuff that happens with your eyes when you have MS.)

Can you explain the lightening flashes more?

The damage that happens is to the optic nerve. So, your vision (20/20) is not the part that would be affected. Most often it is a gradual lose of color (everything gets darker.) But your field of vision can change (like the dark creeps in and you don't see left to right, etc as well.

I can probably tell you more, when I know more....about what is going on.

How long do the bouts last?

This is the weird part, while I do have optic neuritis (Diagnosed with Lyme and Bartonellosis and probably Babesiosis)

I never lose vision in neither eyes, and never lose color either, but I do get a blurry vision in one eye and it goes away in minutes. (I also have painful eyes at times, like sand it there, and they're very red and itchy and there pain and pressure in my eyes constantly as well as in my head and spine.

I get small bumps that grow under my eyelids - this can all be due to Lyme and co-infections but will get another MRI to rule out MS.

I've had Herxheimer reactions where I basically had A LOT of the MS symptoms, I was barely standing on my feet! Which is scary...

I probably contracted Lyme Disease and other tick-borne co-infections when I was 4 or 5 when I found two ticks stuck on my right side of the neck. I went un-diagnosed until adulthood, developed severe symptoms suddenly at 19 and I struggle with them to this day.

Choking on my own saliva, muscle twitches, pain and burning in my spine, vision loss, loss of bladder control, trouble walking and pain and burning going up and down the stairs, joint pain. Nothing is cosistant this comes and goes I had about three months with no symptoms and then just woke up and it was all back.

That sounds pretty normal with MS. All those symptoms are MS symptoms. Not to say it can't be something else...but they are all MS.

Just had a week of my spine burning myself. It is gone now, but can't stand that burning.

But the choking you really need to see someone about that. Also, when your eyes are affected, those need to be dealt with ASAP by a neuro or a neuro-optomologiest.
