MDJunction to me

jpcrps"When I found MD Junction, I was in the beginning stages of RSD/CRPS. I was scared, lacked knowledge about the condition, and felt very alone.

MD Junction changed all of that for me. I found friendship and terrific information from people who had first-hand knowledge of this syndrome. It was and still is a big part of my life.

MDJ was my first step on the journey of grief; from denial to acceptance. I am now inspired to help others by sharing this amazing site and sharing my own experiences. I am very impressed that one forum site can provide hope and inspiration to people suffering from so many different conditions. I am proud to be a part of this community.

Hello all,

I have been receiving Avonex injections now for the last 5 weeks and had a question. I bruise alot now, every easily, do any of you deal with that problem??? About an hour after my last injetion I developed a bruise so large, about 4 to 5 inches long and very purple, almost black.

Anyone have or have had similar issues?

Thanks!

Vivian

I get tiny lumps but usually applying heat or massaging the if they don't hurt too much will disperse them. I have only had one bruise at an injection site, it didn't show up right away and that site never hurt so it was weird. Maybe it's just the way the needle went in. Bruising is possible but if it happens too often you should contact your Neuro.

How are the injections going for you? Are you doing them or is someone doing them for you?

I fell the other day, my legs went numb and buckled. When I was down I couldn't feel anything at all. I thought this is it, my legs are gone but luckily numb tinglys came back several minutes later. It was scary though.

Good luck with your injections, keep me posted. Hugs, Stacey Wink

Hi Stacy,

I'm sorry to hear that happened to you, that is scary. Thank God they came back though. Freaks me out!

I have been getting alot of bruises from both the injection site and just random areas lately, for no apparent reason. This last injection, within minutes, I ended up with a bruise on my upper thight that is about 4 inches long and almost black. I'm going to give myself a little more time before I seek assistance from my nuero.

I have not yet been able to give myself the injection, luckily my husband took it upon himself to help me. I don't know what it is, I am just terrified to go about it myself. Do you do they yourself or are you like me and has someone that does them for you??

I do mine myself, once you get used to it someday maybe you wi too but alot of people have someone else do it. Hey at least you are doing them now it doesn't matter how. Smile I hope everything works out for you and the bruising stops. You have a number to call for the Avonex don't you? I go through Shared Solutions and they are available 24/7 and can answer any questions pertaining to meds, injections, side effects etc. Do you use them or a company like them? If so just give them a quick call and see what their thoughts are. Keep me posted. Hugs Wink
