My symptoms included the fibers (particularly from my scalp), little solid black specks around my abdomen, and larger oblong translucent things (just like in the Morgellons photos on-line). I also had a lots of the itching (on legs especially), and some marks on my skin. I found that neem oil helped substantially, as did turmeric and tee tree oil. The neem oil was expensive because I needed it every day, and the turmeric stained my skin yellow. I believe much of the itching was an allergic reaction to the insects in my skin, and a cheap an effective anti-histamine can be made from soaking onion skins. Bathing in that relieved the itching, and if I stayed in it long enough little things would float to the surface, which I believe were drowned insects.

Almost exactly my symptoms, except the black specks and the oblong translucent things are mainly located from my elbow to my hands. I work as a RX tech, and in the past I never really got into alternative/homeopathic remedies. My attitude has however changed completely around since the symptoms started. I have used only 1 item during that time, that I had good success with. It's called "SULFUR 8" I found it at the hospital store where I work at. I think it's an old time dandruff remedy. Anyway, I put it everywhere, left it on for 12 hours, and it worked. There were still some minor crawling sensations about 2-3 times that week, but a major decrease in all symptoms. The only problem, my co-workers were wondering what that odd smell was in the pharmacy! I have not used since.

That is very encouraging. I think the amount of time things are left on is critical, which is why I was concerned about using toxic products. I doubt the the topical sulphur is very toxic to people, so off-hand it sounds like a fairly safe alternative.

I had some residual itching, and I think I was quite paranoid for awhile, thinking that any little thing might be a recurrence. However, that ended after a month or two, and I had no symptoms since.

Desipte that residual itching, overall, my perception was that it was either really bad or gone, I am interested to know if that is your experience after awhile as well.
