MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

I'm not new to the site but new to the group, I'm so glad you guys got this group started.

My story is, I started getting migraines in High School, mom took me to a chiropractor for muscle tension and it turned out that the tendons that run from my neck to shoulders are pulling on my neck and instead of the natural curve my neck is supposed to have it is straight and that causes migraines.

I also get stress related migraines. It starts off like a regular headache and progresses to a migraine, it 's there for almost two days, just goes from this horrible pounding to a light throbbing that I have learned to ignore and live with since I can't afford to lay down and sleep it off like before now that I have a baby.

Hi, I'm new to this site and have a question. I started having bad migraines back in 1986. They started with surgical menopause. They were so bad that I stopped eating and did nothing but throwup for nearly a year. Then a year later I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I started to get different types of HAs. Now about a few years ago they all started to go away. Now I'm dealing with a cheek bone pain. Just in the cheekbones. This started when pain started in one hand graduated up the arm and then went the same way in my other hand and arm. My neck aches all the time. Found out that I have some artheritis and stenosis in my neck. They feel that it is not causing my cheekpain. I do have a lot of pain in arms now and tingling and pins and needles. These symptoms started about the same time with the cheek pain.

I have no idea where this is coming fromand have pain every day. I take pain meds and that usually helps. However, the pain is constant in the hands and arms.

It usually wakes me up to change positions and still happens thru the day. I don't know who to turn to find help!!!

Can anyone give me some ideas?

Any help would be appreciated.

Laura

Hello! This site is a little quiet.... You'd think there would be more people on, since migraines are so popular, right?

I've had HA's for many years. Different types and very little help. I have one type or another everyday....it's really tough living with consistant pain. Have you found help for yourself?

Well, take care and hope to type soon!
