Has anyone been sent by their neurologist to a pain management clinic. While my doctor is trying every combination of medication he can think of ... and we are STILL waiting on whether or not my insurance will cover boxtox ... I'm really suffering. I am now having migraines very single day. I'm still having to go to work, take my kids to soccer games (do you have any idea how loud indoor soccer parents can be ... I want to kill someone during that hour!) ... I'm taking the drugs and even now taken injections to speed up the medicine's effect in my system, but I'm miserable. He is now sending me to a pain management clinic. I've always thought that was for those that have had car accidents and have to live with chronic pain ... it never occured to me that a headache person would get help there. He did say there was only one in our Dallas/Fort Worth area that would help someone with migraines, so I guess it may not be everywhere. But I dont' know what to expect. Has anyone done this ... what do they do??? |
