I have pleural meso, two months ago, after three pleural effusions they performed pleurodesis, which was successful. But, it has left me with a sharp pain under the front edge of my ribs and the adjacent skin is sore and sensitive. I asked the surgeon what was causing it and he replied that he didn't know, even though I pointed out that he was the last one in there. I feel like I have duct tape on the inside of my ribs with a fold of skin pinched.

Anyone get the same thing?

Maybe I should have started this discussion here instead.
A friend of mine was just diagnosed this week and I am wondering if anyone has any information about surgeries for mesothelioma like will it spread in your body when you have surgery and the air hits. Is asbestos a mineral that stays in the body and will spread if it is opened. The doctor told us that if we have surgery for this that IT would spread, does that mean the cancer will spread or the asbeston will spread in the body?Post edit...
