Hi all, I am brand new here. I am finding myself suddenly in the throws of horrific peri menopause symptoms, primarily mental based ones.

I honestly feel like I am losing my mind. I am in a constant state of anxiety, am suffering from crippling panic attacks and my mood swings are just plain ludicrous. My partner has been bearing the brunt of this and although he has certainly been lacking in the support side of things, he does not deserve to be going through this. I find myself saying things to him that i am not even really thinking about before i say, and then realising mid sentence just how irrational I sound.

I really am terrified as this is only the beginning for me and I cannot take any hormone replacement due to my lupus, if this continues, i can see myself ending up in a mental hospital.

I am hoping for maybe some words of wisdom of something from here?

I am not a doctor so everything I say is from my experience, my opinion, or advice from research I've done. You should always consult with your health care professional.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Yesterday is history...tomorrow is a mystery....today is a gift.... that's why it is called the present.
