I have periodic episodes of severe vertigo and I stay "on the verge" for about three weeks, then don't feel symptoms again for maybe three or more months. This last one has been the worst. Obviously, from reading your discussions, you don't need me to describe my anguish. Currently I'm taking a dieretic and an antiviral medication along with meclazine when the spins hit - sometimes works sometimes doesn't. I've also tried low doses of xanax - some relief for anxiety. Question: Has anyone had the "Transtympanic Gentamicin Therapy"? That is the next step my dr. is recommending. I'm leary because of the time it may take to get balance back, but when I'm hugging the toilet, I'm saying, "Bring it on!!" Suggestions?
