Send a PM
Give a Hug
Hi everybody. I've been smoking since age 12... I'm now 40. There was a 10 year period where I didn't touch any so I guess it wasn't the whole time.

Because I was raised with it, I never thought there was anything wrong with it at all. Now my husband will not allow me to continue use and we strongly disagree about the gravity of the situation.

Anyway, I really need someone to talk to... preferably a woman. Sometimes I get like I feel I will jump out of my skin.

Hi,

I can relate to your situation almost exactly. Now age 27, I had used since I was 14, stopped for almost 4 years then started up again just a couple months ago.

Not sure what it is I'm doing on here, just found this site browsing for pot addiction support groups. It's neat to find someone so similar to myself. I really don't feel that smoking pot is wrong, but my husband swears it's an addiction I have. The problem is I feel I am such a better person when I'm stoned, more fun, patient, and just plain feel better. I want to stop because I know that being high takes away from my relationship with my husband and even more importantly, with God.

Hope to hear from you. Have you quit yet?

39 and smoking fairly consistently since 13; had a couple of 6 month periods off of during various periods of less frequent use...

I'm definitely psychologically and, I would argue, physiologically dependent.

But then I look at the world, have had losses and feel like Carpe Diem...

definitely want to reduce and focus on better coping strategies for stress, emotional ups/downs...

i appreciate the posts as that's where I am...i wonder if the only reason I want to cut down/quit is to appease society...
