I have experienced slight withdrawal symptoms when I quit smoking weed but have read about many different symptoms.

My symptoms have been:

Lack of appetite

Hard time falling asleep

Bad dreams

I didn't realize that these happenings were withdrawal symptoms until I started doing some research.

Other symptoms I have heard of are:

Low grade anxiety, this could be from a fear of being sober and a desire to return to a stoned state of mind. Being stoned all the time makes your mind feel that stoned is normal and when not stoned your brain is saying “what's going on?”

Weight loss

Insomnia

Dreams

Headaches

I would like to know what other people's withdrawal symptoms have been when you quit and how long did it take? It only took 3 days to get over my symptoms, everyone is different and have heard that some people it takes much longer.

Acceptance is the key, if I wasn't so accepting I wouldn't have any friends at all!

I am not here to judge or to be judged, I am here to listen & share.

I am not a doctor & any advice that I give is purley my opinion. Afterall everyone has one!

~~~Hello BZ,
~~~First of all, doing weed, or alcohol or any other drug, is withdrawing from the realities of life. So the withdrawal feelings are rooted in leaving this false sense of security, which is only a fantasy, a fairy tale, a drug, and so withdrawing back in to getting your "hands" dirty with real life which includes the good, the bad, and the ugly.

~~~Who willingly wants to dive into a pile of poop? No wonder the anxiety!
~~~Truth ain't always pretty, and sometimes it stinks, but the truth will set you free!

~~~Lots of truth in a pile-o-poo!
~~~The poo of life serves as the compost for the fertile fields of our minds to produce wisdom, the fruits of our mindwork, our spiritwork, just as compost and cow manure serves to fertilize our gardens for the life sustaining fruits of our labours.

~~~Weed makes you feel groovy, not be groovy. It does not turn you on but, in reality turns you off! So when without it, after being so much with it , O-M-G!, there you are, alone with yourself!
~~~And who have you become? The more fruitful question being "who have you not become?"

~~~Weed has kept you from the truth, who you really are. Find it, you. Create it, you.
~~~There is plenty of cow pie to go around for your compost.

~~~Get gardening!
~~~Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

I think the biggest problem about quiting is the "letting go"

It's almost like breaking up with an abusive boyfriend, you know it's wrong and it makes you feel like POO but you keep coming back for more because it's there and it makes you forget...forget anything and everything that you are dealing with in reality.

I remember the first time I tried to quit smoking cigarettes, I cried.....yes I did....I spent the day saying goodbye to my smokes.

Quiting is easy, staying away is hard. If that makes any sense.....

Acceptance is the key, if I wasn't so accepting I wouldn't have any friends at all!
