Does anyone have any ideas on how to Kick this thing I have with weed? I can't stand it I just smoke smoke smoke. 90 days ago I stopped drinking and I go to meetings and collect chips. Should I feel dishonest since I still Smoke weed? I sort of do so I don't go so often.

Hi,

When I first started going to AA, they called it the marijuana maintenance program. People would smoke pot instead of drinking. It is still an addiction. Do you have a sponsor? They can help you with your recovery. If yo have to, "Fake it until you make it." Go to meetings..... no matter what. Eventually you will get into recovery from everything....even marijuana. Start being honest with yourself and others. It will help you stay in recovery.

Take care.

No I don't have a sponsor. I've avoided getting one since I'm still smoking. Just another person knowing I'm still an addict. And also there are so many women in the program here I could never guess who I would choose. Excuses. I gave up Methamphetamine, then alcohol and next is the darn green... I know eventually it will click somewhere, maybe in my head.

Thank You
