My nephew has MSUD. I am just learning about this condition. My brother married his mom about 5 years ago. Now that my nephew is older(22)the threats of him being removed from their insurance is really sad and scary. They don't know what to do for ensuring he can get his medical formula that he must have daily. It is very expensive. My nephew has what seems to be mild retardation and social behavior problems. He is a very nice kid. Very loveable. He thinks he can get a job in the work force but we know he can't handle the everyday stress. Are there state funded programs that he can work under for job protection? Can he qualify with a disability that would help with his medicine? We are clueless on where to go from here. He is completing a state training 3 month class but they don't get them jobs. Any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated. |
