I have Lyme Disease and Bartonella (a stronger and harder strain of cat scratch fever- symptoms are very similar to lymphoma). I just got my cbc results back. The ones that came back out of whack are as follows.

WBC 3.8 normal for my lab is 4.0-10.5

MCV 102 normal 80-98

Neutrophils 36 normal 40-74

Lymphs 54 normal 14-46

Neutrophils (absolute) 1.4 normal 1.8-7.8

Creatine, serum .56 normal .57-1

Now my Lyme Disease doctor wasn't too concerned to begin with because she said it could be because of my antibiotics (abx) that I'm on. However then I dropped the bombshell on her that I hadn't been on abx for two weeks prior to blood work. So she told me to stay off them for 3-4 week and re-test.

Cancer runs in my family and I'm not even sure how far back and my grandmother was adopted. We have all different kinds of cancer from cervical to skin to prostate. So I'm a little worried.

I have swollen lymphs in my neck all the time, sometimes in my armpits, night sweats, fatigue, chest pain, shortness of breath, back pain, weight loss (40 lbs in less than 6 months), and low grade fevers among many other symptoms from the Lyme Disease. Now I should mention that Bartonella also has similar symptoms as lymphoma so I'm not sure what the symptoms are from. The night sweats only started recently though. The rest of the symptoms have been present for sometime.

I'm worried, I know my doc is or she wouldn't be reordering my blood work. And I have to wait until April 11th to retest.

Any thougths, advice, similar stories, anything helpful would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Smile Hi Brity! Welcome to the lymphoma support site!! It sounds like you have alot going on....i am sorry to hear that. Have you seen a lymphoma doc.?? With the symptoms i would think that would be your next appointment. They all maybe similiar symptoms--but it is best to check out all possible causes of your problems. Maybe your family doc. or the lyme doc. could recommend a lymphoma doc-----just to be sure it is or is not lymphoma. As far as the blood work--i am not really educated in that area-i am sorry. Please keep us posted. I do hope you get some news and at least know what is going on....no fun waiting and waiting.......Take care. best of luck. Hugs, SunflowersSmile
