Parasitic infection...schistosomes - serious stuff...

I have never taken it...but I would strongly suggest to keep up with detoxing...you need to flush those things out of your body...

I'm thinking that he parasites may be affecting me worse than Lyme. Pulsing biltricide 1200 mg BID every four days. No specifically drug-related side effects yet (only first day), but am experiencing higher cortisol, anxiety and massive sugar cravings.

Had an abdominal ultrasound and everything looks normal. Hoping that getting rid of the parasites will turn the corner for me. I know in my gut (pun intended) that I'm on the right track with this,

Detox, detox indeed!

Yea some of those parasitic infections can really hinder Lyme treatment...best to get rid of them first and help your body heal through it...then go after the Lyme...

Good luck - keep us informed!

Itching like an sob since I took biltricide, albenza and stromectol (anti-0parasitics/anti-helminthics). Two months of this itching crap now. No rash. Liver enzymes up. Detox ideas? I'm doing what I can. Organic coffee enemas. IM glutathione and I aren't a fit--severe side effects. Liver and gallbladder detox supplements (ALA, milk thstle, selenium, dandelion, burdock). Lecithin. thinking about adding bupleurum, even though the Zhang liver and gallbladder formulas seem useless..

I think I may have developed a caffeine allergy, even though I don't indulge much. Coffee, tea (green and black) and chocolate all seem to mae the itching even worse.

Habe been diagnosed with Babs (it finally surfaced) and am on Alinia for that. Herxing hard.

Thinking about large amounts of vitamin C as antihistamine and to flush liver. Bile isn't processing right. So now what, cholestasis or worse from the meds?

I can't stop the meds . They are giving me part of a life back. And now with the Babs rearing its head... oh what the... Have been on zithro and suprax for a year and three quarters, along with (at different times, rifampin, levaquin, fluconazole, biaxin, biltricide, albeza, stromectol, and now Alinia. Probably missed a few. Currently on zithro, suprax, alinia, atenolol,, metformin, thyroid, bioidentical hormones, diazepam.. Herbals mixed in as LLMD prescribes. It'd be easy to say drop the drugs for a few weeks and give my liver a break, but if I miss a dose of anything assorted symptoms return almost instantly.

Anyone been here? Ideas? Itchy skin driving me nuts and I'm not in the mood for a liver transplant. Skin is dry, but creams aren't the answer.

Hey, hi Christine!

I would 1st stop the zithro as it caused me to start itching without a rash out of the blue, that is a very long time to be on that drug. It also did heart damage to me. Also try clarition one per day that will stop the itching also. A nice warm (not hot bath) with ground up oatmeal will also help with the skin itching.

All the abx's you are on is very bad for the liver and believe me you don't want to mess with the liver. Way to many abx's in your system and its only destroying your body parts. I know you want to feel better, but once I stopped ALL MY ABX's and I was only on them for 6.5 months I started to feel better each day and I'm back to 100%. Someday when you need them again, they just won't work for you. I can't believe a Dr would allow you to stay on them this long knowing what they can do to the liver and other body parts.

I hope you are having a better day

Thanks! Saw LLMD today. His idea is to stop suprax first and in a week if all is ok, keeping hiim posted, stop the zithro and take a break from both for awhile. He said breaks are needed from time to time. Liver enzymes are ok.
