I have recently tested positive for Lyme.

Prior to that my breast dr. thought I may have fibromyalgia.

I saw an ID dr. last week and he did some trigger point testing and nothing hurt except my ankles.

I can be in incredible pain in a certain area and when I touch the spot it does not hurt while touching it.

For example, today while shopping with my purse on my shoulder every time my purse touched the back of my arm it caused severe pain.

When I touched that spot w/ my hand no pain.

Same happens to my ribs. They ache as if they are bruised. When I touch them I feel no pain.

I am wondering even if I didn't feel pain with the trigger points during my exam could I still have FM or is it just my Lyme?

I don't see a new dr. until October 28 which is a long way off.

Join the club!! Lyme can cause FM symptoms. I had rib pain- it felt like it was my ribs sometimes then under my ribs. Also- it felt like a baby kicking my ribs sometimes- like when i was pregnant with my daughter- not big hard kicks- like little thumps. So- yes I had rib stuff going on too.

What kind of meds are you on currently? if you feel like sharing send me a PM if you like : ) Tami

At the present I am not taking anything other than my regular supplements and vitamins-D, E , Fish Oil and Biotin.

I have an appt. w/ a dr. end of October for Lyme.

Good luck. There are herbs like Cat's Claw that have been proven to kill the Lyme Bacteria- however- I don't know if it will screw up the tests that your Lyme Doc will give you. It may mess with your results- the same way antibiotics would make your tests false neg. But let me know how you make out. It sounds like you have Lyme- I hope you can get treatment soon. Take care. I'm an Advocate

You may have a form of hyperastesia (cant spell it)...but it certainly does sound as if your nerves are out of whack...

What you can try - is picking up some GABA - its a supplement...healthfood stores may have it or you can get it through www.vitacost.com

Gaba can quiet nerves down...
