"Lyme Awareness" (karazon)

MDJunction to me

"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (bunnyfly)

My two year old son was bitten today by a tick, while he was playing with our German Shepard. I haven't gotten the chance to go to a doctor yet, as our van is still in the garage. Should I have him tested for Lyme? How long after the infection does the test become positive? I'm shivering and I blame myself so hard for letting him play with the dog unsupervised. Reading about Lyme here only makes it so much worse.....

My advice......get him tested!!!!!!!!!!!!!I have two kids with Lyme, don't know when they were bitten, and as a result of not knowing, and knowing nothing about Lyme all the years, I have two REALLY SICK adult kids. The secret is to make sure he is tested properly. Not all Dr.s do the full blood work test, nor send to the proper labs.
