Good morning and grettings from Poland

My daughter got biten by a tick 11 years ago(now she have 14), she got Erythema chronicum migrans, and doctors detect on her Borelioza, she was tratted about 3 weeks with Augmentin, in this year near april she got articulation infection in her knees, then in july she got the same, it was not rheumathical, So I decided to make her Real Time PCR and she got positive.

Here in Poland i tried to find some help, but there is not to much doctors that know about this disease, they only know that is a very strong disease.

My question is, Is this disease possible to cure?, What I have to do to help her? Is there a new method to cure this desease? now she only got one antibiothic called Xorimax 2x500mg

Waiting for some help, and Thanking all that helped

Agnieszka from Poland

I am so sorry that your daughter has been infected and affected by this illness. I am in the U.S. and the doctors here do not know about Lyme either. There are specialist here that specifically treat Lyme, if it were possible for you both to come here for her treatment. Each treatment is highly individualized, and there is no one way of getting rid of this infection. I hope that you will be able to find someone in or near Poland that will be able to treat her. I wish you the best. If you have any other questions, I will be more than happy to help you.

It is possible. One can never know what they are eating. Any animal can be a carrier of Lyme, that is if they have been infected. I would think that if you cooked your meats throughly, and the cheese and milk that you buy have properly been pasturized, then I am not sure that you could contract it just by handling it?! I am sure that it could be possible. I have recently learned that Lyme can be transmitted from receiving donated blood by Lyme infected donors. So, anything is possible. I would be curious to see what information you can find on this. I would definitely become a vegetarian in a heartbeat, if that were to be the case. Hope you are able to find some answers!!
