Can anyone here tell me what antibiotics are typically used to treat Lyme disease and how much they cost?

You could use conventional or holistic(natural) antibiotics

The most popular conventional one is Doxycycline

Some popular holistic ones are Samento, Olive Leaf Extract, Colloidal Silver and Oil of Oregano to name a few.

These are just the ones I'm familiar with. Other members will post alternatives

If you dont have insurance, you can always order overseas, i payed about 30 dallors for zithromax.. i knew i needed when no one believed i did at the time. Vitamin shoppe seems to be the cheapest as weasy said about the herbals. thats where i get them. i do both alt and abx.

For me one month of doxy 300mg/day cost 35 dollars...not too bad.

Prescripion ABX still seem to run cheaper than naturals, but also tend to target one type of infection at a time.

My doxy is costing me about $25 a month.

I wish I had solutions for everybody here who is suffering, but I am still hunting for them myself and seem to be more of a student on this board than a teacher. All I have to offer is my experience, support, and prayers based on what I have learned in my recovery. I am not a physician.

You can get generics of many of the abx - and a lot are eligible for the $4 generic plans that the big pharmacies run.

So far, I've taken doxy, then azithromycin and cefdenir, all generic.

I am not a doctor, just a patient striving for recovery and hoping to offer support to others, too! Many blessings to you!

Any information offered is just sharing my experience and friendly advice, NOT a prescription. You should use your own judgment and discretion when making health care decisions.
