MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

How do you know you are Herxing. Been on Doxy( 2 months), Ceftin( 2 months double dose) and now a combo Of Biaxin/ Plaquenil. I don't know if I herxed or not. I feel Crappy all the time. Pain , headaches etc. I did have "Flu-like symptoms" a couple weeks ago 2 months into the Doxy. But then again, I live in New England and everyone gets sick here in the winter. I go from level 6 to 9 pain everyday and everyday is a rolleroaster. I count comfort in hours not days thats how bad it is. Why is it that way with Lymes? Doc said that Herxing is when the Antibiotics are exploding the Spirochetes into pieces and they give off toxins. then the meds have to chase down the pieces and destroy them. Also, the Immune system has to work harder. I've read that the Antibiotics only attack the Spirochetes when they are reproducing. What do the meds do when they are not reproducing?

some people don't herx, and sometimes it's hard to tell for those of us who feel so lousy all the time anyhow. doxy/biaxin is a great combo, but I think you need to be on it longer than 2 months for full effects. Ceftin is also a great drug. Do you also have babs? That's what the plaquinil is for I believe.

Yes, herxing is when the spirocetes die off and let off toxins. It's good to do gentle detox, epsom salt and peroxide baths are a good start, as well as dry body brushing.... otherwise the toxins build up in your body.

I know lyme is a nightmare, I have over 60 symtpoms, and have been sick for 20 years not knowing what was wrong. I have been researching and really believe we need to approach this from all angles. if u can tolorate the drugs that is good, but you also need to build up your immune system with supplements and herbs, Bruscanno says that people have gotten well without drugs just from building up thier immune systems, also detoxing, and bruscanno says exercising is almost more important than the drugs! Even if you can't do much, a little is better than nothing.

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.
