Hi all,

There are a bunch of $4 generic RX programs (Target, Wal-Mart) that will dispense Doxycycline Hyclate for $4, but NOT Doxy. Monohydrate. My script says D. Monohydrate, but with the generic box checked.

On Drugstore.com, these both have the same chemical name (simply Doxycycline), so I'm wondering if I can request this be filled with the Hyclate version and it's all the same.

I will ask the pharmacist, but I thought you all might have inside info as to whether it makes any difference which type to use for Lyme.

Thanks.
