Buckron Says : Off to the humorous side..YEAH ! If Jims Buzzard Stew worked for Lyme i would be stuffing it down..on the other hand maybe that Buzzard Stew is Beneficial? Kidding ..wish u lived closer we could go for a drive and look for tasty tidbits..Ya know what a couple of days a go i ran into something from the University of Berkley California.. i dont know if i will ever find it again.. but a study was done Ticks that gorged on a certain Lizard were cleaned of Lyme babesia all the nasty stuff..that was done in 98..thought something more would have come from that towards a cure.. guess not but theres something in their blood that kills the crap..i will see if i can find it again and post for the interest of others..Thanx Julie for everything..you always make my days more cheerful!

That's pretty old news, but important information----- though nothing has come of it (yet) that can be patented.

And I'd not suggest that the members here drink lizard blood.

Susceptibility of the Western Fence Lizard (Sceloporus Occidentalis) to the Lyme Borreliosis Spirochete (Borrelia Burgdorferi)

Attempts to infect juvenile and adult western fence lizards (Sceloporus occidentalis) with the Lyme borreliosis spirochete (Borrelia burgdorferi) were largely unsuccessful.

Spirochetes could not be isolated from the blood and various tissues of 14 lizards 21–32 days after they had been inoculated ip (n = 8) or sc (n = 6) with 106 or 108 B. burgdorferi representing 3 tick isolates, although 1 lizard apparently developed a transitory spirochetemia lasting 2 days.

Similarly, spirochetes could not be detected in the blood or tissues of 5 lizards fed upon by 2->8 infected larvae or nymphs of the western black-legged tick (Ixodes pacificus).

Sixty-five blood samples from 59 lizards in an endemic area and various tissues from 20 of the same lizards were also assayed for B. burgdorferi with negative results. The implications of these findings for the maintenance of this spirochete in natural foci are discussed.

Can I ask why it appears that you don't read everything I write on my posts? Why do you seem to just read and comment on the things you want to point out as being against something, or negative towards something. When you do this, I feel you are not accurately representing my position, and certainly not open to my opinion.

You accuse me of not being open to the opinions of others, yet you try to stifle or negate me when I express my opinion? How is that fair?

I have never, ever told anyone not to use whatever treatment methods they want. If you take the time to read through the things I have written, I am constantly making the statement that we are "all adults and can make our own decisions when it comes to treatment for this disease". Why have neither of you ever pointed that fact out? Why is it not acknowledged that I actually encourage members to do what is right for them?

Fair and balanced is all I'm asking.

I speak out against things that I believe are predatory or dangerous. I point out whether something has no proven scientific benefit, if I feel the information would be helpful or important. I offer up whatever I can so that members have as much information as possible at their disposal, and can make the best decision they can make for themselves.

My opinions are just that, an opinion. Members are free to ignore whatever I say, if they don't agree with it, or offer their own opinion about it. I welcome it! I wouldn't be of much help if I just sat back and never contributed.

This forum is for sharing, and sharing goes in both directions. I welcome and encourage all opinions about any information I post. I enjoy the give and take, because I believe it to be beneficial.

Ron, it is obvious that you did not thoroughly read the opinion I offered on advertising on the public boards, because you are now typing "S*****O". I never said I felt it was wrong to mention a product, so you can type "Samento".

What I did say, was that I don't think we need to tell members on the public boards that they can get their Samento from "Joe Schmoe's Vitamin Hut". There is no need to be an advertisement for Joe Schmoe, but it's fine to talk about Samento. I have never said anything to the contrary! If someone wants to know where you purchased Samento, let them contact you through a PM.

So again, all I'm asking is that I am given the same privilege as all members on this site, and allowed to express my opinions, just as you are welcome to express yours.

I appreciate and know that no one is trying to "pick a fight" or anything like that. But I had to answer what I felt was an unfair representation of my opinions.
