On 5/18/08 I got my third tick bite and my doc put me back on ABX for the usual 30 days and I felt better but about 3 weeks later I started feeling really bad again and the bite site was itching. As always I save the tick and date it, I took it in and it was determined that the head DID come out when I pulled it.

Anyway, I started back on the ABX and felt better but the bite area was still itchy and slightly swollen, soooo I'm thinking to myself I need a drawing poltice and being the horse person I am I thought Icthammol so I did some googleing and low and behold there is a "human grade" Ichthammol so I went to my pharmacy and got some yesterday and applied it with bandaid over it (for those of you not familiar its a black greasy messy stuff so cover up is important) any way I just looked at it and it's starting to develop a "head" like a pimple and it's not itchy so I slapped some more on in the hopes that it will eventually draw out the poison at the site.

So my question is has anyone else done something like this???? If so what were your results?
