HI toothfairy.....I haven't been back to my rheumie since my diagnosis of Lyme...also, I have NO FM symptomsSmileSmile...hmmm....interesting, huh? Could it be that Lyme Disease is a major cause of FM? Imagine the possibilities. I believe it to be true.

Scolopendrium by Nestmann is an excellent detox support. Scolopendrium is a mixture of Hearts tongue (sounds gross), milk thistle, blue vervain, while nettle flower and oak fern. Another good detox support for the liver is Hepatica...also by Nestmann. I'm really glad to hear that Smilax worked for someone. I passed mine on to a friend.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on mag, Steelers.

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Open your mind to the possibilities available to you.

An attitude of gratitude is good 'medicine,' too.

My partner has lyme disease, and I am trying to figure out if I have gotten it from him. He told me to start taking samento just in case, and i took it for four days.. gradually increasing the drop amounts. It has been two days since i took it and i feel very weak, and my lymph nodes are sore, and my muscles hurt. Does this sound like something that could be related to lyme in anyones opinion?

This sounds like something, but not sure eolson85 if this could be lymes or not. I would get tested through Igenex to be sure. Samento, I think, helps with a lot of things and not just lymes.

Samento is good for more then just Lyme...I would keep track of how you are feeling...and see a doc...or an ND...

While you are doing this - which should always be supervised by a doc...be sure you are detoxing...Samento is an anti-microbial - so if there are any kind of buggers in your body - they can get toxic when being killed off...

So be sure to drink at least half your weight in ounces of plain or quality mineral water daily - and 1-3 cups of water with lemon or lime juice to reduce acidity...

If you are not sure about seeing a doc...talk with or have your partner talk with his doc...he may suggest testing you...

Hey everyone,

So I am currently taking Minocycline and have been doing pretty good. I've seen great progress but it has been pretty slow as of late. I want to begin an additional Antibiotic and think Samento would be great (i like that it's natural). I have ~3.5 Months of Minocycline left.

I read the majority of this thread.. The one argument against taking Samento along with Antibiotics is that it can cause severe Herxs? It isn't known to have any drug reactions? I don't think i herx as bad as some, i think i could handle it. Think I can start maybe a drop a day?

Of course I will ask my doctor during my next appointment.

This is my first post :o Thanks

Samento will likely interact with any medications that Cipro interacts with. If your physician will not prescribe you Cipro with Minocycline, you should probably not take Samento with Minocycline.

There are other natural antibiotic options. If you are interested in taking natural antibiotics, start a new discussion thread and see what others have tried.

Never say "NO" to Samento my natural of choice and #1 Killer for me, everyone on this planet should be on it.... its not just for Lyme but any pathogen.. But Lyme resists it.. need a backup to cycle with every 6 weeks or so.. Anyone remember my little Samento bottle avatar? Smile Thanks for reviving the post "Equest" short

does Samento cause some of the same side effects as Cipro/Levaquin since it is similar in action?

I seriously depleted my magnesium after a month on levaquin and got some minor nerve damage and tendonitis . . . healing with supplements but wondered if Samento might aggrevate . . .
