fun, what's that?

over in the fibro group they have something going on, getting to know eachother... let's let our hair down and talk some dirt!

I'll start, and tell you all a few things about my, probably things you'd never have thought.

I have two tattoo's...a big butterfly in the small of my back, the coloring looks like a tigers face. I choose this because butterfly's are like our spirit, our "cocoon" is our body, and our spirit is our buttyerfly.... hard to explain,...but the tiger is because I'm one strong gal, and I will get thru this. I got this done about 10 years ago...ugh, I'm gettin old! haha. The other , my first was a butterfly on my not so sexy anymore belly...haha. I also had my tongue peirced, but took it out for me wedding, 8 years ago tomorrow, and haven't had it back in since, not that I didn't try. haha. I like to be "different" I was one of the butterfly trendsetters, since then, everyone and thier mother has one, same with the tongue thing...I figured, what the heck right!

My kids like to put on those fake tattoos and are always asking me why mine never comes off.... would I ever let them get one? heck no! haha. only because of the ink factor I never thoght of, as poison to my body. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't care. (when they are older of course).

ok, whose next....yes, your fearless leader is a freak! When people tease my kids and say "your momma wears combat boots" they can say, "yeah, and she'll kick your butt!" (chuckle)....

Hey there,

I just have a minute here, but I have to comment on the piercings. I have three daughters and for Halloween two of them were princesses. They looked so pretty. I bought some pearl sticker earrings. One of my daughters put a pearl sticker on her nose! I don't know where that came from...funny!

My kids like fake tattoos, too. My oldest has been doing "body art." She charges her younger sisters for her to do body art on them. She takes magic markers and draws faces on their abdomens. (though They never actually pay her)

Jaime, I like this idea. We need a break from our lyme drama!

I figured this was a good idea, I borrowed if from fibro group. We really do need a break from our daily hell. So in this thread there will be no talk of doctors, treatments, or pain! haha. just some surprising little ditties about us all! haha.

I think Lymie got out of giving us some scoop on herself.......

Come on, Lymie!! What do we not know? hehe...

I, also, have two tattoos - one has been redone so is that 3?

I worked in social services and taught in prisons for about 4 or 5 years...

I went to a Super Diamond concert (Neil Diamond Tribute Band) a few months back wearing a catholic school girl skirt, combat boots and a shirt that said "I brake for Neil D".

I am pretty conservative for the most part but I own a company called DeadBeat Leather. So, I sit in my garage and whittle away.. making leather flasks, luggage tags, etc.

Is that enough?

Clayton that is awesome! I Love it!!!!

I'm pretty conservative too, but sometimes I like people to think differently... or is it I just don't care what people think...think I'm a freak, I know who I am... rebellious? haha. I just have always liked being different than the mainstreem of folks. Not always, but since jr year in high school, my best friend (and we still are), was always so different, she got me out of my shell.

Oh... I am very creative... play guitar, drums, piano, write songs and sing! "hey, hey, I wanna be a rockstar" ! if only right.

Okay, I'm in:

I LOVE the Grateful Dead and still cry for Jerry Garcia. I too have a tattoo and after living in Haight Ashbury in San Francisco for some years, decided to backpack solo through Israel and Egypt and learn about others struggles and triumphs.

I can't imagine my kids doing the things I did and will probably not let them out of sight, well...EVER.

In my 30's I went back to school and got my Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I planned to go and teach abroad, but I met my husband right before I graduated and well..he was the "one." We got married and had kids immediately.

Now I am past wanting to to teach and am looking for a new adventure. I started thinking about Chinese Medicine. IT seems to work for so many of us and I am so sick of depending on others to treat me.!!!. SO, you can all be my first patients!

I bet we would all have a great time together!

AMY

You go girls! You are Lyme RockStars!

Amy, I'm having the same pull to Chinese Medicine. I'm concentrating on my treatment right now and really paying attention to alternative healing techniques. I would love to go into the healing field.

Hi Amy! I saw the Grateful Dead many times all over the country. Matter of fact, it's why I came to Chinese medicine and all the other healing work I do. Because of the GD, I had many many examples of what and how energy can work. It changed my whole life, literally! It changed my music (I'm a percussionist and singer), it changed how I treat my body (too bad it didn't change how Jerry treated his body, but everyone's on their own path), it brought me to meditation, yoga, and on and on.

Now I'm not saying I wouldn't have come to this eventually, it just might not have been til I was 70 or so The good ol Grateful Dead definitely gave me a jump start!
