So here it is, please feel free to ask for prayer, give prayer, get your daily uplifting right here.

I'd like to ask for prayers for my family, mainly my kids. I was so sick last month on zith, pretty much catatonic, if I wasn't vomitting, I was on the couch and couldn't move.

When we put up our Christmas tree, we like to do the corny family thing, and talk about our special ornamants, I thought I would sit on the couch at least, and try to be part of it, but I ended up falling asleep, I was so upset.

well, it's really taken a toll on my kids, they've seen me like this for a long time, it's really all they know, but the last 2 years have been exeptionally bad. They've seen me come home surgery after surgery, drainage tubes and all, I have to tell them not to even hug me sometimes because it sends shooting pain thru my whole body, when all i want is to hold them.

I've been short with them lately, I stopped my abx for a while, with the zith episode, and I feel like maybe those spirocetes are coming out of cyst form, and having major mental issues, total sound sensitivity, I feel like a cat with it's hair on end, ready to attack. It drives me nuts and I can't stop it sometimes.

So basically, my son, age 5, acts out, he's had problems in preschool, although his teacher is no help, the poor thing hates school already, and preschool should be fun.

and my poor daughter, age 6, usually keeps to herself, internalizes it. But I can see the heartache in her. Lately she's been acting out, being VERY clingy, of course they saw me break down after Leslie died, and heard me talking about it, even though I thought they weren't around, and when they heard my good friend died from lyme, I think they're scared.

It breaks my heart so much to see them like this, it tears me up.

Please pray that they have a peace that passes understanding, and let them know in their hearts that God is bigger than this, and that thier mommy WILL get thru this.

thank you all.

love

j

Wow, Jaime, you have had it rough like so many others on here, too. You will get through this.

One of my favorite verses that spoke volumes to me while I was sick was 2 Corinithians 1:3-4 NKJV

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort which we ourselves are comforted by God.

To comfort implies action. It means to come alongside and help. God actively comes alongside us with hope, strength, encouragement, and healing, and we gain the ability to do the same for others. I began to pray for God to help me use my own experience to bring comfort to someone else, the way He provided comfort for me. There is a positive and productive side to suffering. Look how we have come together on mdj.....I'm amazed at the outpouring of comfort that we give one another.

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Open your mind to the possibilities available to you.

An attitude of gratitude is good 'medicine,' too.

Thank you all for your boldness and compassion for others!!

It means so much to have support and encouragement!

I want to enjoy! life ..............not endure! it!!!!

It is so hard w/ little ones that depend on you - and if you don't feel like caring for yourself it is so hard to take care of them!

....He is my strength when i am weak!.......

I think the prayer thread is so nice! It is an honor to know that you can pray for someone else and especially if you know what they are going through!

This is awesome, Jaime. Thanks so much.

I don't know how I would have made it this far without God being with me all the way. It's sad that it took a disease to bring me this close to trust and count on God in everything I do but it did. I'm happy to be where I am and look forward to the journey because it is a journey that we can't understand but will in time. God is in control.

God bless you all,

Pam

Jaime, I know you do not always feel like it, but you really are a pillar of strength. Your body may be weak right now, and your spirit may feel bruised, but, honey, you have a strong relationship with the Lord and even when you don't think so, you exude His love. In Him, you have a solid foundation to stand on, and no matter how many times you crumble in this life, He will build you back up again.

I believe that God is working in us right now, bringing all of us together in this way,... We are living 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 right here!

And I would like to add, "Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart." 2 Corinthians 4:1

There is a beautiful new voice in Christian music by the name of Fracesca Battistelli. Have you heard her? I have her CD and almost every song moves me. There is one in particular I would like to share the lyrics to. It's called Time in Between.

"You were there when your Father said

Let there be light

You obeyed when He whispered

Son, You have to leave tonight

To spend nine months in a mothers womb

Three days in a burrowed tomb

(Chorus One)

But it’s the time in between

That brings me to my knees

Knowing you came for me

And all that I can't be

I'm amazed, so amazed

And I thank You for the time in between

Don't take much for this crazy world

To rob me of my peace

And the enemy of my soul

Says You’re holding out on me

So I stand here lifting empty hands

For you to fill me up again

(Chorus Two)

But it’s the time in between

That I fall down to my knees

Waiting on what You'll bring

And the things that I can't see

I know my song’s incomplete

Still I'll sing in the time in between

So many ways

Your love has saved the day

And I'm grateful for them all

(Chorus 3)

But it’s the time in between

The middle of two thieves

That says everything

It’s the reason I believe

I'm amazed, so amazed

And I thank you for the time in between

Oh Lord, I thank you for the time in between"

You, and your children,.. your family, are all in my prayers, Jaime.

"The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him." Nahum 1:7

"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him." 1 Corinthians 2:9

You are all so wonderful. I'm so glad I was led here. It's been a blessing to turn a lousy situation into something positive, to be able to help other people, and to be able to lean on them when I need it too. Thank you all for being you.

Beauty, that is an awesome song! I think I have heard it. There's another one, I'll try to link it to youtube, it's awesome, I love the part of the lyrics that say "have you forgotten whose trip you're on?"

Prayers for all of you today. May you have a blessed day.

Oh, Jaime, I LOVE that song! "Stay Strong" by the Newsboys... that really should be the themesong of our spirit.

I loved the reference to Joshua 1:9

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

Some other songs that have helped me when I am struggling....

Natalie Grant - I Will Not be Moved

and another favorite,

Carrie Underwood - Jesus Take the Wheel

I am loving this thread! (((HUGS)))
