MDJunction to me

2steveb" In life we all have trials and tribulations to endure weather it be physical, mental or social. For me personally when i encountered MDJunction i was astounded. Since i joined MDJunction to me it has been a god send and a life saver. I have met and been able to converse freely with so many people in the same situation as myself, (that alone is a big help, to know your not alone) to be able to discuss and get good advice from a braud section of people. One of lifes hardest things is to discuss personal issues with friends/family and yet the mdj family is non judgmental and you will be made totally welcome to talk through any issue thats on your mind. There are forums for every known issue to mankind, to me MDJ.com has become my family extension, id be lost without these good people and the extremely good guide lines that group leaders help us all with to keep threads topical and friendly." Hi Everyone. Was wondering if anyone knew of a pulmonologist in New York

that specializes in Lyme as well as asthma and allergies.

Thank you in advance.

I'm going to "fix" the instructions thread tonight, but for now, you can use the following:

Instructions for LLMD requests:

1. Join Lyme Disease Community

2. Start a NEW post in the Doctor (LLMD) Requests forum.

3. In your message give us the following information

a. What state are you in? (put in subject line of message) If outside of the US, please list country (and province if applicable).

b. What major city are you near? Please list city, state, along with others you may be willing to travel to. For Canada, please list closest states/cities to you.

c. Is this for you or a family member/friend?

d. What age is the patient? We especially need this if under 21. Many doctors have age limits for how young they will treat.

e. Have you been tested for Lyme or diagnosed previously?

f. If so, with what tests, using what laboratory?

g. What were the test results? Please be specific (list results for each band for Western Blot)

h. How long have you been ill?

i. What are your symptoms?

j. Do you have any other diagnoses? If so, what?

k. Optional: Are you looking for a specialist, or treatment approach? (For example, antibiotics vs holistic/natural, ILADS members only, cardiologist, neurologist, psychiatrist, psychologist/counselor, dentist, etc.)

These questions must be answered before information will be sent, in order to protect our LLMDs.

I am not a doctor, just a patient striving for recovery and hoping to offer support to others, too! Many blessings to you!

Any information offered is just sharing my experience and friendly advice, NOT a prescription. You should use your own judgment and discretion when making health care decisions.
