Hi everyone, My mom is in Buffalo, NY.

I have no idea where to start, but I found this website right away so hopefully someone here can help!

Last weekend, she was walking through a field wearing thick pants and felt something "sting or bite" her upper thigh. When she looked, all she saw was a little stinger-type thing... she tried to save it, but it fell in the brush.

She cleaned the area the best she could and had no issues.

Until this past weekend. A bullseye rash appeared on Sunday (photo attached).

She went to an urgent care yesterday and was given antibiotics and told to see her PCP in 1 week.

Yesterday she felt like she had the flu and said she felt terrible. Luckily today she feels better, but the rash has spread and now has bruising around it.

To top it off, her doctor's office just had a fire, and who knows when it will re-open.

Regardless, I think she should find someone who really knows Lyme Disease and can treat this in the best way possible. I am not really familiar with Lyme but I'm thinking that this is still early and it's good that she got on antibiotics already.

Any info is greatly appreciated. How do I find someone who can help her?

I'm starting from square one, so no info is too basic for me Smile S

he's going through a lot of other things right now, and I live several hours away, so I just want to help as much as possible.

Thank you!

hi; what a great daughter you are.

see your private messages left side for NY llmds.

1st have her take more photos using a coin or $1 bill to show the size with TODAY'S newspaper date prominent.

see my WELCOME LETTER in my signature line; most of what you need to know to START is right there for you.

print off 37 pages of dr. burrascano's lyme treatment guidelines; below that is from his guidelines ... MEDS/DOSAGES FOR KIDS/ADULTS broken up; make sure she takes that to dr. with her to get MORE antibiotics.

what is the dosages and for what length of time did they give her abx; WHICH ANTIBIOTICS?

locking this post so i know i sent you names.

have her look at dr. corson's kid's evaluation where this doc explains the entire body and explain the body parts WHICH DISEASES affect thos parts.

the tick or whatever may have OTHER diseases, co-infections, to be aware of .

best wishes, hugs/prayers,

bettyg, leader/llmd coordinator

Betty's suggested posting guidelines:

NO ALL CAPS POSTS; they are illegible to me/other neuro folks!

Many of members have neuro lyme, and it is hard to read long solid block text and be able to comprehend; example, me, 42 yrs. neuro chronic lyme, so we are UNABLE to comprehend and read. Thank you for helping us help YOU

please post in short paragraphs like you see below or look at a few other posts, but we neuro folks need them short.

1-2 sentences MAX per paragraph and hit ENTER TWICE to doublespace between each paragraph. We've lost our comprehension skills to read solid block text.

we neuros lose our train of thought if the sentence is broken up in the middle; so please keep an ENTIRE sentence together as ONE. hugs

For easier reading, please edit your post. You can break up your longer paragraphs into smaller paragraphs. Please hit

ENTER key twice after each paragraph.

Go to left hand corner; click edit send. Then go to bottom and click SUBSCRIBE TO THIS DISCUSSION.

Thank you for posting in a manner that makes it easier for all to read and help others.
