MDJunction to me

HiddenButterfly"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (HiddenButterfly)

hey, i think this is where you are supposed to post these thing.

im a college student who has lyme. luckily i have an LLMD at home and I'm on treatment, but one of my friends also has it but doesn't have an LLMD.

since i live 18 hrs from school, i don't really know any LLMDs around here and i can't refer him to mine. does anyone know of an LLMD within 2 hrs of chattanooga (Atlanta, Birmingham, Nashville, etc.)?

he is turning 21 in a two months. he has chronic fatigue and his legs sometimes get very weak and shaky.

he has had blood work done twice but i am not sure where they sent it or what test they used. it came back negative but i am almost positive he has lyme. he had them done about a year ago at a nova center in Virginia.

2 summers ago he worked in virginia and got 4 ticks on him. he didn't realize what they were at first and so they were in him for a significant amount of time (not exactly sure but more than 24 hrs).

that summer he also had mono and felt terrible. he cleared up mono but still felt terrible. like i said, i have lyme and so do my 2 sisters and my mom and he has classic lyme symptoms.

i don't know a lot about lyme but my mom has researched it a lot. she just doesn't know any doctors around here.

i think it's ridiculous that doctors have to hide because they treat lyme. it's so jacked up.

thanks guys,

switchfan

All of my advice comes from research and personal experience. I strongly suggest that you each check with your doctor for approval before changing or adding anything to your treatment.

Peace . . . starts within each one of us. When we have inner peace, we can be at peace with those around us. When our community is in a state of peace, it can share that peace with neighboring communities, and so on. When we feel love and kindness towards others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace. And there are ways in which we can consciously work to develop feelings of love and kindness. For some of us, the most effective way to do so is through religious practice. For others it may be non-religious practices. What is important is that we each make a sincere effort to take our responsibility for each other and for the natural environment we live in seriously.
