All,

I have very good reasons to believe I have contracted Lyme. I am glad to see all the support groups like this one.

I have read that entire families can test positive, and at least one of my brothers allready has. My symptoms are mild compared to many of the cases I see (even compared to my brother) but I still believe I have need to be tested.

I would like to know if anyone can provide me with any LLMDs in the Boise ID area. Or at least Lyme Friendly Doc to support an out of state LLMD.

Needing help,

Bob

Just b careful...Many people who think they have Lyme, do not! Make sure you have a strong pos test result.

That is why I want a good Lyme Experianced Doc to do the workup and give me the correct results.

Anyone know the best way to track one in my area down?

If you're just testing you can have the blood taken at your family doc and sent to a lab. Igenex in California is very good and their website [www.igenex.com] will tell what tests should be ordered. You can then post your results here to find out what they mean.

The doctors around my area are not realy willing to conduct the test. My dad shows symptoms than are much more obvious then I do and his local doc won't do the test (He is looking for a new doc now).

We are hoping to find one with some experiance and a more willing attitude. So whoever gets support from one of us will get the chance to treat us both.

I am going to ask my doc next apt (a little over a week from now), if he refuses like my dad's doc he will be replaced.

Bob

Bob, please pm me, I'm a group leader here, I can help you to find a lyme literate doc. We aren't allowed to put that info on a public forum, so pm me, give me some backround, and also neighboring states you are willing to travel to, as many of us have to travel to see our lyme docs.

thanks,

jaime

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Update...

I am doing allright, just disapointed with my doc, he said he would order the tests and never did. Looks Like I will have to head out of state for proper care.

Thanks to all who have provide support so far.

I will update again when I have more news,

Bob
