Hi Jewelfish2002!

I have previously taken the Neurontin and it did help me. I had a terrible problem with burning/tingling, especially on my face. When I first started taking the neurontin it made me dizzy but after about 2-3 days that side effect wore off. I started with a low dosage and worked my way up to the dosage prescribed per doctors orders. Each time I increased the dosage I would experience the dizziness but it always stopped within about 2-3 days. Did you mean Diflucan? I have also taken Diflucan due to a yeast infection caused by the antibiotics. If taking antibiotics, one should take a probiotic which replaces the good bacteria that the antibiotics destroy. Taking a probiotic should help minimize/stop yeast overgrowth. I hope you start to feel better soon. Congratulations on the birth of your little one!!

Michelle

Hi there.... some OTC supps to take would be a good garlic supplement, it's the best natural antibiotic, antiparasitic, antifungal, etc, in some countries they sell antibiotics otc and they don't take them, they use garlic instead. also , cats claw sometimes called samento is great, it DOES NOT matter if it's TOA free or not, it's about money. Olive leaf extract is another good one. also lots of vitamin C. I mean to the bowel threshold. take enough to give you diahreah, then back off a bit, probably around 3-4 thousand mgs a day...could even be more. a great book for natural things is by Buhner called something along the lines of "healing lyme naturally"

He also has a book "herbal antibiotics" I believe are the names....something close to that anyhow. both great books, even for someone who doesn't have lyme.

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

if youre nursing the baby Id check with the pediatrician before taking ANY supps--or drugs--many get into the milk-and be aware that garlic will also come into the milk--and may cause GI upset for the infant as well as may make the baby refuse the breast!!

Evan was on Neurontin and it gave him side effects ( increased headaches, dizziness, tingling) and NO good effects at all. If you were on it for pain--there are much better things to take--and if for fatigue, ditto

elavil also is caution if nursing...and for some it helps with sleep ( mainly those with sever fibromyalgia sx)...for others--nothing.

Same for Lyrica, celexa, and other antidepressants.

hope you find the right combo of meds and supps
