Been about a year since dx some joint aches ,fatigue, take naps and can deal with the rest. Now have been diagnosed with depression and anxiety. My dr does what he can to treat symptoms, but only now kind of agrees that i may have lyme. I know there are other dr's in other states that are llmd. But from my research, there are few that accept any kind of insurance. Have appt with Neurologist in two days for spinal tap. But this stuff messing with my head is the worst of it all. My wife tries very hard to understand and stands beside me every day thru it all. Am now setting up appt for therapist for counseling, whatever it takes. Just wandering if there is anyone else from North Carolina who may have some info to share.

Have you considered looking into nutritional and supplement therapy? Along with natural abx...could be of help...

Also have you changed your diet?

AM taking coq10,Extra vitD, Thought my diet had always been good

whole wheats, grains, fresh veggies, fruits, fish, broiled and baked.

low fat, medium protein. but from looking at things the diet may not be what it needs to now. as of now am not on any antibiotics. had the recommended doxycyline for 42 days early on. any info or directions to find them would be appreciated.

Bartonella can cause psychiatric issues as well as panic attacks and anxiety. I think it would be good to be tested for co-infections

My LLMD does accept insurance, but I am in Tennessee. I am sure someone on here can help you with a doc. Best of luck!!
