Hi everyone. I go back to my LLD tomorrow after being on Ceftin for about a month. I was feeling better for a bit. I even got on my elliptical trainer last week for a few days. We had some majorly stressful stuff happen at our house over the last week, and I think maybe it is causing me to regress. My pain and fatigue is back big time. I know after one month of treatment I can't expect miracles. I just think I got used to feeling better, that this is discouraging. Is this normal to have good weeks and bad weeks?

Thanks.

Hope you all are feeling good!

Jen

Yes it is normal.

Stress is a killer. I was doing very well, 90% better, per my LLMD. I was even able to regain some level of fitness with regular light workouts.

Then we received a call on Friday evening. My Mother was in the emergency room. So we rush to the Hospital. Around 2 AM they move her to ICU. The next day she was moved to the Hospice and 3 days later she passed away. Funeral arrangements, internment and relatives. This happened the same week the company I worked for announced they were sold and the new owner was going to lay off most everyone. Stress, stress, and more stress.

I knew the lyme was back when my shoulder started to hurt and i could not raise my arm because of the pain. The elliptical trainer irritated the rotator cuff.

This all happened during the course of 2 weeks. I now have a pic line and Doxy for 2 months. I feel better already. Bottom line, stress is just a bugger. Get lots of rest, follow your treatment protocol, be patient with yourself, and above all reduce your stress levels.

I hope you get well soon.

I'm awfully sorry about your mom and your job. My stress is just a very selfish, alcoholic husband. He picked this week to go on a 5 day binge, and we have 2 young kids to take care of. I took his keys away Sunday so he didn't drive off and kill someone, and he wasn't very nice about it.

Anyways, he was supposed to go with me to the LLD tomorrow, but I can't even look at him right now, so I will go alone. I just have to make sure I have all of my questions ready.

Thanks for your support. Feel better.

Jen

Jen and Julie

Thank you for the kind notes. I believe we all need to find ways to reduce our stress. I can not imagine how a mom with 2 kids gets it done. I am just a grandfather of 2 1/2 year old Lola. My kids know when I'm having an off day when I'm not running around playing "hide" or "FE-FI-FO-FUM" with Lola.

Never underestimate the destructive power of Stress.

Lyme loves stress. It suppresses our immune systems and Lyme just has a party. My LLMD always wantes my beloved spouse, Suzie, at the appointments so she could hear and take appropriate notes. My brain fog was pretty extreme. At least I did not drool all over myself Suzie has been a very active partner in this battle. I wish all of you peace, health, and freedom from stress in your life free .

Forgive me for the tough love but, it sounds like your partner needs to step up and be man, father, and partner.
