I sent this to the forum earlier but it hasn't show up so I will write it again.

I am retesting tomorrow but I think I might as well go ahead & start treatment. My first Elisa test was positive & the Western blot was reactive for bands 23 & 41 which are specific for Lyme's. My doctors wanted me to wait & retest because I am just (hopefully) recovering from Cdiff & antibiotics are bad bad stuff for Cdiff! Lyme folks have been urging me to have my test run by Igenex but I am wondering if the expense & hassle is worth it considering my prior tests ALTHO I don't have any clinical symptoms. I did have 2 rashes in May & June, blotchy itchy things, never saw the bug that bit me either time.

So what to do? Test & treat? I think so. And hope & pray that my Cdiff doesn't come back.

Pam

Pam, it sounds like you are in a real hard place. What is Cdiff?? I'm having a duh day....

I was bit 20 years ago....2 ticks burrowed in my back, my dad burned them out with a match.. (just read that's the worst thing to do, they regurgitate thier stomaches into your body), I may have shown small symptoms for the next 10 years, but nothing huge....it wasn't until the past 10 years I have gone downhill and fast.... believe me, you don't want to be where I am. If you tested positive on an elisa, that's pretty amazing... usually people are negative on that all the time. Most people don't see the tick, many don't get the rash.... but if you tested positive, you are positive....

there are also natural ways to treat lyme if you are scared of the abx you could research that....just a suggestion

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Hi Jaime! Pam's earlier post showed up and we responded to that, which is we didn't respond to this one. There isn't a way to totally delete a post yet, so this was just left alone.

Pam was the one who found a homeopathic LLMD, which she thought at one time could help her with treatment. That was the reason for my post about homeopathic treatment for Lyme.

If you look at her other post, you can see the full discussion if you are interested.

Good to see you again!!

Lori
