Well got the tests back for all the co infections and they were negative. I had tests done 5 years ago for my job that did a full disease panel and it showed exposure to rocky mountain spotted fever .This test still shows antibodies for it although i was never sick,I geuss ill always show those antibodies in a blood test.

Does that mean my body fought off RMSP one time...my DR. says lots of people show antibodies for it.

listen to the people who are suffering this is not just every bug bite.

It carries a very real risk

Taking the antibiotics would be pure joy if you avoid what the rest of us are suffering.

I would give anything to be in your shoes. And I was a "I do not like taking antibiotics person too.

That is easy to say when you are well.

I spent ages trusting the medical profession here, (after I got sick). I finally worked out what was wrong myself). I was asking for abx and they were telling me I didnt need them.

Now they are giving me plenty of abx now when it is too late to do much good.

I am eating them like sweets and praying they will help.

I knew I needed Abx . I wish I had trusted myself and sourced them back them .

They were never going to do me the harm that this bite has done.

My life is ruined.

I didnt think I could get an infection like this either.

Get on those abx and do not take any chances. In a few weeks you will have forgotton all about this and will be blissfully unaware of what you have avoided.

How I envy you to have the chance to catch this early.

Congratulate youself on being so well informed and souring the information on time.

Dont let anyone put you off taking those abx now.

Good luck. Hopefully you will not need to be back on here.

trust me you want to get on antibiotics ASAP. doctors throw them around like candy for every little cold or flu but when it comes to the possibility of lyme they don't give any. i was in your exact situation and i wish to god someone had stepped in and told me what to do when i got bit by a tick and developed a bulls-eye rash. i went to my primary DR. and he said that it most likely was not lyme and that i should be fine and sent me out the door without any antibiotics. well 6 years later i became so sick out of nowhere with horrible insomnia, brain fog, headaches, balance problems, joint pain, muscle pain, bone pain, shaky trembling hands, twitchy muscle spasms all the time, partial paralysis of muscles, panic attacks and so many other symptoms. even if you feel fine it does not mean you didn't get lyme because lyme can stay dormant for weeks, months or years and then decide to activate and you will have wished to god you took a course of antibiotics. i didn't because i was 12 and didn't know any better and i believed the doctor. it wasn't until age 18 that i discovered the truth about lyme and became sicker than you could even imagine. please keep pushing for antibiotics and if he or she wont then you keep searching for a doctor that will. lyme turned me from a healthy, strong, athletic hockey player who lifted weights 5-6 times per week..into a 24 year old who can barely walk or do anything at all that i used to take for granted such as brushing my own teeth or showering myself or being able to wake up in the morning and hop out of bed. now those simple tasks take everything inside of me. please get on antibiotics..your life and everything in it can be taken away so quickly because of this disease.
