Greetings to all here, my story, my questions. Back in 1995 I worked a Girl Scout camp in Northwest Louisiana. I was bitten by a tick, don’t really know just how long it was on me, but the director removed it and sent be to the nearest hospital. They basically just told me to keep an eye on it and sent me back to camp. No bulls-eye rash ever appeared but did develop a raised area the size of a pencil eraser on the site of the bite. After one or two years my son referred to it as my third nipple. It would itch at times and other times would not bother me at all. It also would crust over at times and other times would just be a red area on my upper arm. Ok yes, I did go to the doctor several times and told the same thing over and over again, no I don’t know what test were run, heck I trust the doctors, lol. Forward to 2008, knees at time feel like they on fire, sometimes so hard to walk it brings tears to my eyes and will makes it impossible to sleep. At times the tick bite area will be normal then for no reason it will welt up and itch like crazy. The last couple of years I have had terrible headaches, that no aspirin will cure. I’m I going crazy, is this because of the tick bite? I found this site and just wanted to know if anyone else has gone through the same. I read that some test are not going to find anything, what test are recommended. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Lance

Lance,

yes, this could be from a tick bite! Read my story in the group leader section, and the rest of it in my profile. You will also find the list of symptoms on here...there are many, I would recomend printing them out and marking which ones you have. as far as docs go, most mainstreem docs have NO CLUE. You're lucky if you find one willing to learn alittle about it. LLMD's are the best route (lyme lterate doc)

Also read Bruscano's treatment guidlines, also on here.

If you want some natural info, a great author is Buhner, I just started reading his book, something about curing lyme naturally....very interesting...he also has one, herbal antibiotics,..also very interesting.

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

please pm me with any special concerns
