MDJunction to me

2steveb" In life we all have trials and tribulations to endure weather it be physical, mental or social. For me personally when i encountered MDJunction i was astounded. Since i joined MDJunction to me it has been a god send and a life saver. I have met and been able to converse freely with so many people in the same situation as myself, (that alone is a big help, to know your not alone) to be able to discuss and get good advice from a braud section of people. One of lifes hardest things is to discuss personal issues with friends/family and yet the mdj family is non judgmental and you will be made totally welcome to talk through any issue thats on your mind. There are forums for every known issue to mankind, to me MDJ.com has become my family extension, id be lost without these good people and the extremely good guide lines that group leaders help us all with to keep threads topical and friendly." I have to agree with Ron and Connie...I know I'm in remission, been feeling very good (except for the flu) for almost a year...Am I cured, hell I don't know, I don't think anyone can give a right or wrong answer to that question, how can they....

All I know is I feel good and I do know at any give time lyme can show its ugly face, but this time I'm ready...

Hi Connie thanks for thinking of me!!

The doctor was successful in proving that my initial test was a false positive and confirmed that I do not have lyme or any other disease.

The weekend after the first visit I started my new blood pressure medication. I have also stayed on all the vitamins now including Olive Leaf. When I returned for the results, I am not feeling anywhere near as bad as the past several months. I have only had two episodes in February and have slowly resumed my work outs. This is something that I thought a few months ago I would never be able to do.

He is not sure what I have/had but his exact words "as a disease specialist, you do not have lyme nor any other disease." He has sent the test results to my primary care doctor and ordered one additional test "Tilt test" because he said my blood pressure is doing abnormal things when I change positions. The chest x-ray was normal as well.

In this process and everything I have learned about lyme in the back of my mind, I am still skeptical, which I did express to him, but he made it very clear that he didn't see any more need for testing for lyme. The only reason I have not acted on my skeptism is I am getting better every day, not worse. I feel like I am still recovering, but from what still not sure. If it was blood pressure which is more normal than it has been in almost 7 years, the diet that I have stuck too religiously, or the vitamins, I am not sure....but I am not stopping one single thing just yet, not as long as I continue to get better.

Right now I am taking things day by day, and praising God for the gift of each one, and am hopeful they continue to get better daily. If not, I pray for the strength to get through it. I hope that I am to do what he wants me to do with this experience, which at the moment, I am still not sure what that is, but it's too life changing to ignore.

Hey Karen, wish i had a few more minutes to write more..What exact Lyme tests did you have? A Western Blot? You have every right to be skeptical. False positives are RARE and false negatives are more the norm.... Keep that in the back of your mind. Even world renowned docs have not a clue about the proper tests/etc unless a LLMD or LLND. Let us know if you need anything..Will be back in a bitSmile glad to have you
