I know we are desperately seeking for help and support when we are sick and I visit our group quite frequently. So often I read about your sufferings, frustrations and pains.

I wanted to share my successful progress and tell you all how much better I have started to feel.

I got sick about four months ago, have never been so ill in my whole life. It has been a struggle for me and my surrounding, work has been a mess, kids have suffered, husband has been exhausted because of extended work load, house has been a mess and so on. I am sure you all recognize that.

Thanks to you all I have been educating myself about the disease, been very open and tried both traditional and alternative treatments with success. It has been a slow and frustrating recovery. I did not have a LLMD but was lucky to work with my family doctor after I fired my ID, in addition I have been seeing a rheumatologist and a podiatrist witch has been very helpful.

I am now only taking mobix, omega three, ginger and a multivitamin. Some days I almost feel like I did before it all started and most of the time it is only my feet that are still hurting.

You have all been such an important support for me and I therefore wanted to thank you all. I will continue to keep you updated on my progress, I feel it is so important to share a success. I will keep you all in my thoughts and I wish you all will have a successful recovery.

Thanks Again,

Tina

Tina:

THANK YOU for the email, helps everyone to know they can and will get better with time..

Question, I will be seeing a rheumatologist, can I ask what have they done to help you, I'm not sure what to ask on my appointment...Its the pain in my legs, knee and neck, tried the Lyrcia to only gain 20 pounds on it...

Again, I'm so happy to hear your story...

Stay well

Julie

The Rheumatologist I am seeing thinks that the Lyme has onset some kind of auto immune respond that causes all my pain. I will see him again on Thursday, last time he did 10-15 blood works for all kind of auto immune, I had 27 x-rays. Personally, I think all it is is Lyme and the recovery will be slow but I will let you know what I find out on Thursday.

He also put me on Mobix, an anti-inflammatory. I had been on Naproxen for about two months before then and it did nothing. Just a few days on Mobix my pain started to decline from neck, shoulder and knee. I think rheumatologists are very good at dealing with chronic pain. Lots of times they can not cure it but they can make you more comfortable. I also think that sometimes a specialist in a different field can think differently

I browsed online about questions to ask and that helped me a lot

Good Luck

· Why am I in pain?

· Lyme, lyme and something different, something else?

· Lyme is not that common down here, have you seen cases like mine before, how often

· If Lyme is the only source, why do I not feel better after all antibiotics?

· Co infections

· Can it be an inflammation central nervous system?

· Can there be damage on internal organs? Heart? Can we rule out that in any way?

· Do you think I will recover fully?

Tests he did:

CBC platelets

Sedrate vdrl or rpr

CRP

U/A

CMP

CCP Ab

SS-a,

SS-B

Abs

HLA B-27

SPEP

TS14

Tina~ SO glad you are feeling better!!!! It really helps people to read this. It can be so hard when all you can find are stories of people who are doing this that and the other, and running in circles!

You have been a wonderful friend, and a wonderful help here. Please do check in and keep us updated. Remember to keep that immune system up so you don't relapse!

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.
