Laughing Hello!

I am new to this group, but not Lyme! (big frown!)

I can tell you I have found a doctor in Houston who is an Infectious Disease Doc, but she's been great with addressing my Lyme! She's very knowledgable and has been following all the latest treatment protocals I see on the various Lyme Association websites.

The initial visit consists of 9 vials of blood draws to address any other underlying infections that may be going on.

I found her by God's grace and am so greatful I did!'

Good luck!!

Tmcv,

I'm sorry, but I had to edit your post to remove the doctors name.

We do not post names of docs, unless they are published or very well known. This is because there are some folks out there who go after Lyme docs, so we are very protective of them.

Thank you for your very helpful information! I will share the doctors name with the other group leaders so that it can be given to others. In the meantime, you may get PMs from others asking for her name and number.

And three cheers for an ID doc who is out there fighting Lyme with an open mind! You are a lucky person to have found her!

Tom

Glad you found an ID doctor you like...People think all ID doctors are useless, I don't find that to be true. Glad she is helping you...

Please help me. I must find the name of an LLMD in Houston. I have been self-treating with meds from foreign trips. I have stopped weeks ago because I must have a doctor. Now I am getting arthytis back and nerve pain in my leg back and yesterday, for the second time in my life, I drove a long way out of my way in my usual commute that we should do like an old horse heading for the stable, lost in some brain fog. I work with my brain, so I need it sharp. Please send me contact information for the good doctor in Houston. I must have help now.

I will get on it now and send you some names. Welcome! You need an LLMD without a doubt. Are you right in Houston? I know the area well but am making sure you're not up in the Woodlands or 'wherever' as Houston should have a few to pick from. Mine is in North LA and would be 4 hrs from Houston.

Please take this advice as personal experience and not that of a medical professional. Sometimes experience is what makes us learn and help one another. Take the pieces you need, and always question, ask, with an open mind and heart...[/b]

Hi guys!

I've been having symptoms for 6 years and I need to find a doctor that will take Lyme disease seriously. I've tried 2 doctors already and they both were horrible. I'm hoping 3rd time is a charm... I live in Houston (a few minutes away from the famous Texas Medical Center). Can someone please help me out? Sad I'm only in my twenties and I'm sick of my life being ruined.

Thanks so much
