Just a quick greeting to all the newest members of our family!

I wish life didn't make if so hard to personally greet each of you, but we all know how it is when you are trying to work, take care of your family and deal with feeling bad.

I am glad to see all of you here...but then I'm not glad...because it means you are sick (or support someone who is sick) and are looking for help. The number of group members is growing so quickly these days, it's just amazing.

Please know that you are not alone, and could not find any better people to talk to.

Do not hesitate to send me a PM if you have a question you'd like to ask me, or post it on the board if you are looking for a variety of responses.

I encourage you to search previous posts, because there is lots of valuable information out there to read.

Be well.

Tom

Tom,

I think that you said something that is just so important.

For some of us the fight isnt just with the docs and ins companies, but it is at home (family) and with friends.

Sometimes the people we need the most are the ones who hurt us the most. Because they just dont understand. And sometimes they do, and still hurt us.

I think when people come to a place like this, and the way you guys (group leaders) have worked to make it so inviting and open...there is a strong sense of understanding that some who are suffering really need.

Tom said it right, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. We are not alone. And despite differences of opinions and conflicting personalities, we need to remember that. We are the best support that we can get. And when the day is done, we can sleep knowing that someone is thinking about us, or sharing the same pain. And we need to use this in a productive and positive way.

Having such a strong group is Empowering - and with this disease, we all need the strength to stand up for ourselves and make others understand.

You are here because you are wanting to get better. It is a stuggle and a fight, and for some, they get there quickly and others struggle for years. We are all walking the same road, so have faith in what this forum represents...You will get better, and altho we cannot phsyically hold your hand in support, remember that our thoughts and wishes are with you.

You neednt feel alone...read and learn and find someone whom you can connect with - of course the more the better, but connecting with one person can be so helpful.

Ok pep talk over -

Luv to all

Christine

I know what I am and I know what I am not

Never put it past this disease to be the culprit - but we also cant brainwash ourselves into believing that it is the only thing
