had a positive test in aug 2006. The westren bl. came back neg. so I wasen't getting treated for lymes for 6 months. I was getting worse and worse. finally i went to a doctor that started me on antibiodics for lymes. I was on it for a little over a month. I was felling good. Now I have been off it for about three weeks and i'm starting to feel real bad. I'm scared that it wasn't agressive enough. I have called another doctor for more treatment. i'm so scared. I want to hit this hard and try to get it licked. Any advise? I'm starting to get very depressed. I can't help it. Is it too late for me already? How long is to long? I mean for having a good chance and recovering? I'm lost and don't know what to do or who to turn to. I just want a doctor that will be very aggresive and help me. I'm waiting for my doctor to call me back. I don't know what she will say since I haven't seen her for lymes before.

Hi there. I am new to this too, and understand your fear. I was dx with fibro...but always known in my heart there was something else going on. I had two ticks burrowed into my back 20 years ago! No wonder I keep getting worse and worse. I am sure there is permant damamge done already, but praying I can find a llmd who takes insurance and I can finally get some help.

Hi Suazo,

It's never to late to treat lyme. You're correct though that the treatment wasn't aggressive enough. You can find a good lyme doc in your area by going to flash.lymenet.org and they have a section forum called "Finding a Doctor".

Post your area of residence in a new thread and someone will send you a private message stating the name of a good doc and contact info for your area.
