MDJunction to me

"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

Hi, I'm new here. I was bit by tick back in the early 90's and my health has slowly gone downhill since then. I was still able to work fulltime plus work on our vegetable farm evenings and weekends but one day a couple years ago I got really sick and still haven't recovered. I'm officially diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia but I talked to a retired medical doctor and he said that I most likely have Lyme disease. After reading up on it I have to agree.

I've just started taking Samento and I think I'm noticing some improvement. Time will tell.

I look forward to meeting all of you.

Bonski.

Welcome.

I too was told I had fibromyalgia 4 years ago---was finally tested (properly) and diagnosed with Lyme a little over a month ago.

I'm on my second antibiotic (along with many supplements, including Samento) and yesterday and today have actually been good.I'm feeling hopeful.

You'll get lots of good info and support from this board. Lots of knowledgeable and compassionate people here.

Blessings and luck to you.

Thank you, Gregory

Thank you, Jamie. I haven't noticed any of the trouble you spoke of, everyone's been very nice. If there was any drama I'm glad I missed it. As everyone probably knows having Lyme disease is dramatic enough. lol

Hi Bonski and welcome! This group is terrific, I have learned a great deal from everyone here.

My son and I are big fans of Samento too, I like Ron's big bottle!

I like your dog picture as well, big animal lover.

Welcome again, here's hoping better health for all of us!

Yes, welcome Bonski,

Sorry to hear you are sick, but we can get better.

A vegetable farm??? Is it organic??? How wonderful. I'm betting it is. Well, I had one measly tomato plant this year, but it produced a good crop. I can tell a large garden would be a lot of work. One of these days I'd like to have a big veggie garden.

I was also told that I had fibromyalgia around four years ago. My posts about that whole sordid story are all over the place...I won't repeat. I'm afraid all of our stories are very much the same...we go for years and years being told we have something else, when indeed we have Lyme. Well, we can fight for the future lyme sufferers. Maybe one day Lyme will be a standard 'rule out' diagnosis. That's what I'd like to see.

Anyway, thanks for joining us and please tell us more about yourself. Are you seeing a doctor for treatment?

Well, we're glad to have you 'on board' .

Feel free to ask any questions that you may have...there are a lot of friendly, caring and knowledgeable people on this site. Everyone has really helped me, too.

Peace,

Connie

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Open your mind to the possibilities available to you.

An attitude of gratitude is good 'medicine,' too.

Hi Bonski,

Your story sounds so similar to mine, almost to a "T," in fact. I have been officially diagnosed with fibro/CFS, no official diagnosis of Lyme. I have requested a lyme test, and I feel certain my rheumatologist did not run what I requested...but that's a whole 'nother story! I just got the fibro/CFS diagnosis after suffering over a decade of worsening symptoms, but I don't intend to wait another decade to get a lyme diagnosis. I'm out for blood--my own, LOL!

Good luck to you in your treatment, I hope you get to feeling better really soon.

Jen

Just because it's impossible doesn't mean it can't happen.

I'm not a doc, so anything I say is my opinion only. Nothing I say is meant as offense, I offer what I can as help.

I believe in educating myself on all my medical issues and being my own advocate, for no one else with do that on my behalf. I recommend we all do the same!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Perhaps I truly am insane for expecting these docs to listen to me when I say the same things repeatedly to no avail? LOL. I am tired of seeking out new docs and getting the same result time and again...Forgive me if I seem bitter some days.
