Hi,

I'm new to all of this and also new to GA. I've recently been told that I have had Lyme and an assortment of other unwanted travelers. I will be having additional testing on Monday and would love to better understand the course of this journey and how to cope with the myriad of symptoms.

I've been misdiagnosed with many things over the years, which perhaps have all been part of the equation, but not all of it. My major offender at this time is supposedly systemic candida, affecting my liver, spleen, neurological system and immune system with Lyme being secondary. I don't know how to stay positive when the pain and fatigue get beyond my ability to cope. I've been doing peroxide and Vit C IV for the candida but am feeling some heavy detox symptoms. Sometimes I just cry.

I'd love to hear from others on this journey regarding what you have found helpful.

Many thanks,

Allison

Hi Allison, welcome, you've found a good source for help and encouragement. Welcome to GA. too, I live in Alpharetta as well. How were you diagnosed, just curious. Do you have an LLMD? If you are looking for someone, several of us on this website go to a local clinic. You can PM any of us if you would like more information. Denise, Clayton, Connie, Hanna or myself. It's rough, but we will make it through this.

Take care,

Ann

Hey Allison,

Welcome! It sounds like you are going the alternative route with your diagnosis and treatments. Please PM me and let me know where you are going as we cannot name Dr.s on this forum to protect them.

I am also battling systemic candida as well as lyme and some co-infections. As Ann mentioned I go to the same clinic as others she mentioned and I'm very happy with my treatments. I have had one bad three day herx reaction and little ones here and there. I started treatments about three weeks ago.

I'm sorry you are having a bad detox reaction to the treatments. Maybe they can adjust the dose you are getting. We have had these little buggers in our system for some time and it will take time to get rid of them. So hang in there and keep us posted on your progress.

Take care, Denise

Denise

Just figured out how to post a reply LOL

Thanks Ann and Denise for your posts. It's nice to feel welcomed by and connected to others who have shared this journey. It's not an easy one to go alone.

It seems like there are quite a few of us at the same clinic. I was introduced to this group by Hannah, who I very much appreciate. There's wonderful wisdom in sharing our stories.

I've heard about Connie's recovery and so many other inspirational stories. It really helps to keep the faith!

Thanks,

Allison

Great! Glad to know that you are at our clinic! I'll be there again at the end of July - hope to meet you!

Our doctor has really helped me -- I'm much better now and it's only been since March.

Candida can be beaten by mixing caprylic acid with oregano oil capsules, stay away from sugar for awhile, I think i can cure the lyme disease as well ,it is a skin infection and must be treated through the skin

Hi Clayton,

Thanks for your post. How often do you go to our doctor??? Do you have any other issues in addition to Lymes? So glad to hear that you've improved so much in only 3 or 4 months!

Hope to see you there

Take care,

Allison

I go every 3 months (I'm traveling from Dallas, Tx). I did a 2 week treatment in March and am going back at the end of July. Had to cancel in June b/c I just found out that I'm pregnant.

I have Lyme and co-infections plus Epstein Barr. My organs were pretty distressed from Lyme until our doc put me on some detoxes and really got my system working again.

I'll tell Therese to let me know if you are at the center during that time! I'll be there the last Monday thru Thursday of this month. Hope to meet you!

I'm due Feb 14th! I'm feeling great.. no morning sickness, etc. I heard that pregnancy masks Lyme symptoms - I'll enjoy it while it lasts! haha...

Hope your appt goes well. PM and let me know what treatments they have you doing.
