I am trying my best to hold it together but it takes all my energy and I just want to cry.

I know the feeling well, and I've only been at this for a few months. I honestly don't know how people do this for years.

Relying on an unreliable test for a diagnosis, then being bounced from doctor to doctor each with a different theory and none willing to treat you can become pretty depressing pretty fast. I hope you get some answers and some helpful treatment soon.

In the meantime I've been browsing the Tips forums. I can't yet say if any of the advice there will help your physical condition, however for me it at least helps takes away a bit the helpless feeling. I figure at best the advice there could help and at worst I eat a bit healthier and take a few supplements.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks for your well wishes, i know how you feel. Fighting this is hard, and I DO want to just give up, if it wasn't for my weekly dose of horses. They make me feel better, because when i'm around them I have NO worries, I'm happy and worryfree. i have something to distract me from my stressful depressing life, and it puts me on a new planet. The barn also has a great vibe of accomplshment, fulfillment, and responsibility. It's great for me! Keep our heads up!! I know it's hard for everyone but I still try to see lifes blessings, so i hope you can too.

This is a rocky road for all of us and so frustrating in many ways. I hope you find the right Dr. for you so you can start feeling better. Have you thought about some anti-depressants short term?

Hang in there.

Ann

I remember having it at your age and how depressing it felt. I must say it's a little easier when you know what's wrong and people ask and instead of "well I get sick easy" to be able to say "I have..."

It's frustrating when you see you're friends and other kids being able to do things and not have to worry about feeling sick or how much worse you'll feel if you do it and knowing you can't do those things. It is depressing.

Vitamins do help a little especially some magnesium and co q-10 for the headaches. I had headaches like your's as far back as I could remember and could never remember not having one for even a minute until this year. I also went through tests for thyroid problems and MRIs for tumors and thinking it's fibro and was so frustrated when everything was normal. Some doctors at least admitted something was wrong but would say I had to get worse before they could find anything. Just keep telling yourself that you'll find out and what ever it is (Lyme or not) you will know and you will get better.

I also wouldn't recommend the antidepressants but it might help to have a little counseling and have someone to just talk to and be there in person.

I am having counseling, i did try antidepressants, I do know that the way you explained having to sight out was perfect wording, and I also have been on co q-10 and magnesium in the past. I have taken:

magnesium, migravent, co q-10, mega teen, melatonin, vitamins, depakote, topamax, amitryptaline, cyproheptadine, anti biotics, and sooooooo much more I am having trouble concentrating for. I will go now so I can rest my weird brain now.

I don't recommend antidepressants because of age.

Well, good feedback. I recomend finding something, an activity or thought, that makes you feel like you belong with this illness. mine was the hippotherapy, because there are so many other sick kids I help volunteering for that I feel I'm not alone, and I'm helping others. I malso get to be with my lifelong pals, horses.

Even though we shouldn't have to belong with the illness let me ad. people should treat us earlier but god is with us and we will get through. I'm always depressed unless I'm at hippo. It's so far away though that i can only go once a week, not enough for me.
