To this group and disease. I was diagnosed this past Monday actually (October 15) after being sick for four months. I'm very new to this and my symptoms ranged from all stages of the disease.

Anyway, more about me. I'm on the left of my picture, my girlfriend is on the right. I'm a psych student, and due to my 'unknown illness' have missed class more than I wanted to. I work in retail, and am in a service sorority. I live in Texas, and was a camp counselor, in fact, that's where I was infected, good ol' Hill Country.

That's all for now, I have to get off to class. Talk to you all later, and I can't wait to meet all of y'all.

When life gives you Lyme's, break out the salt and tequila.

hello and welcome Sorry you have to be here, but it's a great support site. I was also bit in texas...twice, 20 years ago! Unfortunatly, didn't figure out lyme until this year...for 20 years I have suffered and gotten worse and worse. But now seeing a LLMD (lyme literate doc.) that's what you need a lyme literate doc. If you don't have one pm me and I can tell you how to find one.
Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Welcome:

Ask as many questions you can, that is how I have learnt so much about lyme. You need to find a doctor that understands lyme and one that will listen to you not blow you off. I do not have a LLMD but my doctor is very understanding and is helping me in anyway he can.

Its a tuff battle to win, but know you will win this battle someday.

I would speak to the teachers in school and inform them on what is going on, that way they will understand.

Julie

Lyme will not win, we will and we WILL…
