"Lyme disease and babesia" (BlueCheetah)

MDJunction to me

"I have been struggling with Fibromyalgia, Bipolar, Anxiety, Post traumatic Syndrome for quite some time and pretty much going it alone. I stumbled across MDJunction by accident. I stayed in the shadows and just watched for four days and then I joined, feeling relieved and excited to have found a safe place with alot of folks that I could relate to . It's proove to be medically and emotionally
helpful to me and now I can't go a day without coming in at least 4 or five times a day! I Love my family here.

I can find no LLMD near where i live. The only one I knew of(never saw him) moved away after my symptoms came on. I do have a Dr. prescribing different antibiotics every few weeks, but I'm still not getting a whole lot of answers from him. My ELISA was negative, and 3 bands on my WB were positive, but not enough for CDC's ridiculuosly high criteria. My Dr. wasn't sure how to read the test, and I think he's shooting from the hip in treating me. I was first on Doxy(7weeks) then

Ceftin(3weeks, really noticed improvement), now I'm on Biaxin(1week) and I feel horrible again. Main complaint is burning in upper arms & armpits, and throat & neck numbness. I've been checked out by 7 doctors, who all say(except one prescribing)I'm healthy as a horse.Anyone know where to find a LLMD in northen/central Wisconsin???

Hi Gregory,

That is my main question too is where to locate a Lyme specialist. I am not even sure how to go about doing that but maybe you could google search for your particular area where you live or hopefully someone here can help you find one. I also am interested in knowing myself because I am sure thats what I am facing also.

My doctor here says he doesnt see many cases and really doesnt know alot about it but has already started me on Doxycycline to start with.

I also suffer from burning in my arms, legs and numb neck/siff neck pain too.

Hope you find a LLMD to help you in your area.

Take care

some of us patient advocates maintian contact lists but a faster easier way is to use google

type " (your state) lyme disease support groups"

then click on a few links to find the several groups and email them

they will give you LLMds and even drs to avoid!! as well as local info and you may even meet a few new friends!!

good luck

Finette
