okay kinda hoping someone can help me. i went to a specialist in minneapolis a few week back who swears up and down that i do not have lymes. when they tested me back in december they only did a elisa test and it came back positive for lymes my level was 2.50 and then they retested me again in feburary and it came back positive again i dont know what level of that one was. they finally did a western blot test last week and we are just waiting for the results, i should get those this week sometime. my doctor here swears up and down that i did have lymes and if i didnt its kinda odd that two elisa tests wouldnt be positive. would a western blot come back positive after being treated for lymes. i was on rocpherin for 28 days. will the western blot show if i have or had lymes even with treatment?

ok, for you to get even one positive on an ELISA test is amazing, let alone 2 positives! the Elisa test is crap. Usually most come up negative, and we highly recomend you seeing a lyme literate doctor and being tested thru Igenix labs in CA, the testing is easy and they break down the bands and we can help you decipher the results, but sounds like you'd come up positive anyhow. If you need help finding a more helpful doc please PM me, not sure how thrilled I am with yours. BTW, if he's thinking lyme disease only comes from ticks he's sorrily mistaken, fleas and mosquitos (mosquitos I know you have plenty of up in MN)

to pm me you just have to look under my pic and you'll see "send a PM" and click that and there you go.

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Hi, To answer your ? about the WB results, if you had been off abx for at least two weeks when they drew your blood it should come back highly positive for lyme. I agree with Jamie, get yourself a LLMD.
